From the beginning, the choir in conducted by the Master Giovanni Bortoli, who studied letters and, at the same time, he specialized in Gregorian semiology, musical paleography, polyphonic interpretation and choral guidance. He attended the school of the masters Ernesto Dalla Libera, Lavinio Virgili, Eugène Cardin, and he actively worked together with other famous musicians: Albino Perosa, Evangelista Nicolini, Alfredo De La Roza, Ivo Meini, Javier Busto. He taught in many cities, such as Vicenza, Rome, Imola, Milan, Turin...
In June 1995, he received the "Cultural Prize" by the Lions Club "for the important research and popular work about Italian and foreign choral singing".
Furthermore, in 2003, he received by the city of Conegliano the "Civilitas Prize" with the scientist Rita Levi Montalcini "for the precious impetus to the cultural growth of his community...and for his valuable work for the safeguard of the musical legacy".
In 2005, he carried off the 17th National Literary Prize "San Vidal", owing to his book entitled
"Ultreia! - Il cammino dell'anima", it concerns the Camino de Santiago, a metaphor of the human condition, an inner travel, that involves the whole person: head, stomach and heart, id est rationality, sensitiveness and sentiment.
He had intense relationships with the most various musicians, so many of the greatest choral singings were born.
He spends a lot of time to search original and sensational works; he performed pieces of unknown authors, as Guillaume Bouzignac, a french baroque composer, with his extraordinary and dramatic effects, Narcis Casanovas and Juan Cererols, with their double-choir pieces.
The Master is supported by an Artistic Council to choose the appropriate choral singings.
